Dr. Devlyn D'Alfonzo was born and raised in Richmond, and attended Virginia Tech to complete her bachelor's in Animal and Poultry Sciences in 2004. She then went on to complete her DVM in 2009 at Ross University, graduating with high honors. She then completed a rotating internship with Virginia Emergency and Specialty centers in 2010. In 2011, she became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. Over the following years, she found her true passion in Veterinary Medicine, and began to focus on the care of senior pets, and pets with mobility issues. In her spare time, she enjoys time at home with her family, horseback riding, reading and gardening.
Acupuncture, with or without herbal therapy, can be used to treat a variety of conditions, ranging from osteoarthritis to chronic kidney failure and many others. We can help to provide complete and balanced care to complement your primary care veterinarian.
We use a holistic approach to your pet's veterinary care, tailored to your pet's individual needs. Our knowledge of acupuncture, herbals, and food therapy combined with traditional Chinese veterinary medicine can fill in spaces in your pet's care. This, combined with care from your primary care veterinarian can give your pet a more complete range of care for excellent health.
We can help make the silver years of life as comfortable and happy as possible for your pet. We will work alongside your primary care veterinarian to improve quality of life for your pet by providing a multi-modal approach to their care.
When the time comes to say goodbye to your beloved companion, we can help make this difficult time as peaceful as possible. We can provide your companion a passing in the comfort of your home, in familiar surroundings, with the people they love around them.
The health and safety of our patients and their families are our priority. Therefore we have a few guidelines for appointments to ensure the safest visit possible.
As always, we use clean equipment that is sanitized between patients. If at all possible, we prefer to see patients outdoors.
If this is not possible due to weather, or patient ability, we assure that Dr. D'Alfonzo will observe mask wearing indoors. We ask that our pet owners comply with mask wearing guidelines as well.
Dr. D'Alfonzo is fully vaccinated to ensure increased safety for both herself and those around her as well.
